Sprinkler Blowout FAQ – Everything You Need to Know

Winterizing your sprinkler system doesn’t have to be confusing. Below are answers to the most common questions we get from homeowners in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, and beyond.

When should I get my sprinkler blowout done?

The best time is between mid-September and early November, before the first deep freeze hits North Idaho. Appointments fill quickly in October, so we recommend scheduling early.

How long does the service take?

Most residential systems take 15 to 30 minutes to fully winterize, depending on the number of zones and system layout.

What if I’m not home during my appointment?

No problem. As long as we have access to your sprinkler system’s main shutoff and valve box, we can perform the blowout without you being there. Just leave us any notes when you book.

What happens if I don’t blow out my sprinkler system?

Any water left in the lines can freeze, expand, and crack pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, and backflow devices. This often leads to repairs that cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

What brands do you work with?

We service all major irrigation system brands, including Rain Bird, Hunter, Orbit, Toro, and more.

Can I get same-day service?

Sometimes! Same-day or next-day service may be available depending on our current schedule. A small rush fee may apply — just ask when you call or request a quote.
